Eduard 1/48 A6M2-N "Rufe"

May 1, 2024 · in Aviation · · 15 · 314

Photos of Eduard's 1/48 A6M2-N "Rufe". Great kit built mostly OOB except for pitot tube made from Albion telescoping brass rod. I used Uschi nylon thread .005 for the rigging. All markings were painted using custom masks drawn in CAD and cut on Silhouette Cameo 4 cutter. Only decals that I used were small stencils less than 1/4" everything else is painted. Photos are series of 8-12 shots stitched using Helicon software to achieve depth of field. Base is a 1/4" circular steel plate with magnets in the trolley wheels to keep it in place.

  9. Nicely weathered Rufe.

  10. That is excellent! May I ask what paint you used for the main color? I'd like to replicate that scheme on my 1/72 Rufe build.
