45 - 1/72 Italeri MB 339A P.A.N.
My next build was one for the 100 Years of Aeronautica Militare (the Italian Air Force) and I decided to do one of the Frecce Tricolore ponies. It is an old mould I really wish somoene would bring the MB339 out in an updated moulding, but it went together well - I decided to try some scribing and described it. My scribing skills are terrible so it was good practice.
I like to have my decorated and special scheme airplanes displayed in flight so I painted up a figure and got him in there.
A relatively simple build so not long and it was in primer and paint and onto the decals.
And then... Whoosh it was done.
You can see the build thread here - https://imodeler.com/groups/italian-air-force-100th/forum/topic/mb-339-a-p-a-n/?topic_page=2&num=15
That is a colourful aircraft. Great work on the decals especially and overall.
Thanks a lot Chrishtopher - it was a fun one to build.
Very neat work, especially in 1/72 scale, Anthony, it looks great “in flight”.
Thanks so much George @chinesegeorge. Yes I like these fancy ones in flight.
Nicely done, Anthony.
Thanks Gary, I appreciate that.
Looks great, Anthony (@anthonyricco). Decals mush have been fun.
Thanks George yes it was fun
Sharp build.
Thanks Dan
Really cool and colorful MB339, Anthony @anthonyricco
To me the scribing, just like all the other work done, turned out great.
Thanks John, not the greatest, but a good one for learning - been getting better at it.
Looks great! A little elbow grease can make these older molds come to life, as you demonstrated here.
Thanks Greg, yeah I do enjoy the challenge of some old kits and also the lack of stress involved in them.
@anthonyricco - Great build Anthony. The wood block as a display stand looks fantastic!
Thanks a lot Brian - yes I like the wooden stands, simple but they work nicely.
Looks great! Giving me hints of The Silver Falcons
Oooh nice man - the Silver Falcons will look gorgeous. DO IT.
Well done Anthony, nicely posed.
Thanks so much Allen. Appreciate it.
