M60A1, just done

November 26, 2016 · in Armor · · 9 · 1.7K

Here is my just finished Tamiya 1/35 scale M60A1. It is pretty much straight out of box, but I wanted a camo version so I did that, but then used the kit decals for 5th Mechanized Infantry Division, so it is probably not historically accurate. It was sprayed painted with rattle can O.D. then the camo was brush painted on, I added antennas and lightly weathered

Thanks for letting me share!

  1. Looks Great !
I spent a LOT of time as a crew member in these beasts. Some times I miss the old girl... Your hard edge camouflage could be correct, (don't know about the 5th ID markings) since I remember painting them with a brush in the motor pool as a recruit at Ft. Knox. Later at our permanent duty station we sprayed them. Sometimes we left them in overall Desert Sand, while at other times we sprayed a 4 color MERCD "Gray Desert" scheme.

    Thanks for sharing.
