1/72 , I modified, replaced and added a few things, cut the tail at the fold point, added bulkheads and drive shaft couplings, added a cabin ceiling, brass tube and wire to main and tail rotors, reversed tail rotor blades, folded main rotor blades, shortened fueling probe, added tube and wire mesh to some air intakes, finished in MM enamels with Tamiya X22+X21 over kit decals.

  1. That's the beast that rescued one of our Navy F-14 crewman that went down early in Desert Storm, we were on deck just about to get him when the Pave Low was returning home, but had enough fuel to turn around and do the rescue. I have this kit for that scenario, good job on it. Even in this scale it is quite large. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Nicely done Allan, as Chuck said a large beast even in that scale.

  3. Another fine build, Allan...per chance did you take any photos of the assembly process? Your description of the process intrigues me. Sounds like it was anything but an easy task. End result looks great!

  4. Nice scratch work - thats a fine looking build you have there!

  5. Allen, what a beast! Great job on her, you must have quite the collection of rotary fling wings. This oughta dwarf most of them. I'll bet the ground shakes when one of these motors by at low level.

  6. Nice build, and as always, understated effort to produce a really nice model!

  7. That's sharp Allen. I need to build a helicopter, haven't done one in ages. Thanks for the inspiration!

  8. 🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Sharp looking build Allan, nice to see STALLION in a different scheme.

  9. That's a cool chopper Allan, nice camo scheme! I think they look great with the rotors folded, and not too space consuming neither!
