Born and raised on the Danish island of Bornholm. I'm vintage 1954, I built my first kit at age 10, an Airfix 1/72 FW 190D (you know, those in a plastic bag). The kit was rather crude, the cockpit consisted of a pilot sitting on pins molded inside in the fuselage halves. But I loved it, and I was immediately hooked, and I've been building kits of planes, tanks and ships ever since.
