I'm a stay at home Mom with a love for airplanes. I build mostly model aircraft in my spare time. I started building about 3 years ago. My set up is in the corner of my bedroom, with a homemade spray booth. I've slowly improved my skills over the years with the help of a few forums and facebook groups. My favorite plane is Whiskey 7 a C-47 Skytrain owned and operated by the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo NY. I love going to airshows and taking pictures of the planes in flight. Can't wait for that time of year again!

Revell's 1/48 B-25J Mitchell "Jaunty Jo"

This kit was a bit of a bear. Not surprising considering they are still using the mold from 1977. I had several fights with the seams, including the fuselage seams popping in places. I don't know if the plastic was just being impervious [...]

Trumpeter's 1/48 C-47 Skytrain "D-Day Mini Whiskey 7"

Where do I start...Whiskey 7, or 43-30652. A 1943 Douglas C-47 Skytrain that served as the leader of Serial #18 on D-Day, according to records with the 37th TCS, 316th TCG. No actual photographs where her tail number can be seen exist [...]

Testors/Itlaeri 1/72 AC-130A Hercules Gunship

This kit fought me pretty much all the way through. Fit wasn't that great, so there was a lot of putty, sand, prime, repeat. The decals looked great, but turned out to be a very stressful part of the build. The glue was thick and [...]

Revell's 1/48 B-17F/G Flying Fortress "Mini Movie Memphis Belle"

I'm a volunteer at National Warplane Museum in Geneseo NY. I have the opportunity to work on some the aircraft there. I took a flight on their flagship aircraft in the summer of 2018. A 1943 Douglas C-47 Skytrain named Whiskey 7. A [...]

Mini Whiskey 7 #2 1/48 Monogram C-47 Skytrain

I finished Mini W7 #1 roughly a year ago, and since then I've started volunteering at the museum that owns the real Whiskey 7. I donated Mini W7 #1 to the museum and she resides in their gift shop. So I had to build myself a Mini W7 #2. [...]

Revell's 1/48 F-15E Strike Eagle

One of Revell's better kits. Went together without any major fit issues. There were some seams to sand, and a few very small areas that needed just a touch of putty. The decals were printed in 2000, and looked iffy at best, but I [...]

Hasegawa's 1/48 AV-8B Harrier Jet

I'm not going to lie, I've attempted this kit several times in the past few years, and have failed miserably. I have two kits with the failed attempts under my bed. The kit has some serious fit issues. It took patience, a lot of dry [...]

Tamiya’s 1/48 F-16 Thunderbird

Here is my build of Tamiya's F-16 Thunderbird. Kit went together beautifully as one would expect from Tamiya. The challenge with this one was the white paint, and the decals. Painting white, and trying to keep it clean was quite the [...]

Monogram's 1/48 F-4 Phantom

Another old Monogram build, the Phantastic Phantom. This was a straight out of the box build, aside from some aftermarket decals. Paints used were all Model Master enamels, aside from the white, that is Tamiya acrylic. The Phantom is [...]

Monogram's 1/48 C-47 Skytrain "Mini Whiskey 7"

Built from the old Monogram 1/48 C-47 Skytrain kit as "Mini Whiskey 7" The real "Whiskey 7" is a D-Day surviving aircraft owned and operated by the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo NY. I was fortunate enough to be [...]
