    Wow, John (@johnb). Stripes came out perfectly. And the colors are very distinctive.

    @fiveten, @gblair, thanks a lot.

    Unfortunately I need to redo the session. While I was applying the decals on the tail section, I noticed that I reversed the black and red stripes. Maybe a lot will not notice this, I'm still thinking about redoing the black and red stripes. With the decals on I need to pay a lot of attention to not put masking tape on them.

    What a pity, John.
    It looks a superb paint job to me though.
    I wouldn’t even have noticed the mix up of colors if you hadn’t mentioned it, but I can understand your concern.

    Such things happen, ny friend @johnb. Nothing unfixable, only needing extra effort.
    Hardly noticeable, though 🙂

    Stuff like this can be a real mojo killer, John (@johnb). I suspect I would blame the crew chief for painting the stripes in the wrong order on the only color picture you could find. I think I would ignore it. :o)

    Mistakes never end even as our skills improve, John @johnb. But if you’re like most of us, you have to fix it or those stripes will drive you, and only you, nuts every time you look at it. 99% of everyone else won’t notice.

    @alfred, @fiveten, @gblair, @eb801, thanks a lot all. Blaming the crew would be a valid excuse, but likely it will drive me nuts indeed each time when I look at the model. Therefore I'm definitely going to try to reverse the colors. With the decals on it might be an ever bigger challenge. Decals and masking tape are not a perfect combination.

    I figured you would probably want to reverse the stripes, John (@johnb). You can avoid applying tape over the decals by using thin strips of tape around the actual stripe, then use pieces of paper or notecard cut to fit and taped to the thin strips already there. That way the paper protects the rest of the model and there is tape only in a thin strip next to the lines.

    @gblair, thanks for this tip, George. After reading your post, I tried it on the black stripe and painted it red. Now removed the masks and paper and all seems fine, no damage to the decals. Now on to the black stripe.

    Hi John (@johnb): Painting a new black stripe was probably the easiest. Moving the red one may be more difficult. Good luck.

    Colors of the rear fuselage stripes are repainted. I started transforming the black into red with the approach mentioned by George @gblair, protecting the decals with paper to prevent any damage.

    I over-sprayed the existing stripes which was maybe not the best approach because it could create thick layers. After the first stripe it looked quite acceptable, at least to me.

    No issues with the black stripe either. A bit of bleeding still needs to be corrected .

    Re-striping worked out well, John (@johnb). I would have bet you would have gotten a big paint buildup, but it looks awesome.

    Excellent result, my friend @johnb! Like nothing ever happened.

    @alfred, @gblair, @fiveten, thanks a lot all. To be honest, I was also expecting a bit more issue on the repaint. Let's hope the next steps will be as "easy" as well.
