@gblair, @fiveten, thanks a lot guys, seems like the hardest work is done. Still some detail painting to be done on the air brake areas and the guns.

Close to completion and I am sure it’ll be a beauty, John!

@alfred, thank you, Alfred. Not even close to your build but I'm trying to get the best out of it.

Some detail painting on the air brake interior done and applied a bit of black wash.

Don't sell yourself short John (@johnb). This is a fine build that looks great. And the fact that you were able to recover from the fuselage band color reversal, says much for your skill level. This Sabre looks excellent in these markings, and the way you decided to present it (on the stand), makes for a nice conversation piece.

    Reaching the final stages now.

@clipper, thanks for the motivating words, Carl. A separated tail section looked great, but definitely added some extra challenges to this build. But till now it is definitely worth it.
@alfred, thanks a lot, Alfred. I do hope to finish it this week.

Airbrakes are on. Having both at the same angle took a bit of time.

Really super job, my friend @johnb! The air brakes' interior looks nicely detailed, as do the air brakes in "open" position!

I agree with Spiros (@fiveten), John (@johnb). Speed brake area looks really nice, as does this entire aft section. Getting close to the end.

@alfred, thanks a lot, Alfred. Indeed, they do weigh the most 🙂 .
For the non-Dutch among us, we have the expression "de laatste loodjes wegen het zwaarst" which is "the last mile is the longest".

Speaking of which, that finish line is right up ahead John @johnb. Nice recovery on those stripes awhile ago. Your Sabre looks terrific but it does look odd standing on three legs with no rear end. Sort of humorous.
