Everything looking good, John (@johnb). These early jet seats were in the transition period between the WW2 parachutes that you sat on and later parachutes that were in a back pack. So, in the F-86 you needed a seat cushion because the pilots wore a back pack parachute.
Excellent progress so far, my friend @johnb! Nice cushion on the seat and beautiful IP!
That cushion is a nice addition and the instrument panel looks really cool.
@gblair, @fiveten, @alfred, thanks a lot guys. I do hope to make some more progress during the upcoming Eastern weekend.
Added Eduard PE seatbelts.
Solid progress, my friend @johnb! The cockpit looks super!
Interior looks great, John (@johnb). The cushion that you added, as well as the belts, really make a big difference. Time to seal everything in the fuselage soon.
Off to great start, John @johnb. Nice to see all these Sabre under construction.
@fiveten, thank you, Spiros @gblair, thanks, George. Side panels are not included in the Eduard PE set, so I need to do some brush painting there. @eb801, thank you, Eric.
More work on the interior. Almost ready to get the fuselage around it.
Looks really cool! Are those side panels OoB?
Guys: I hate to be a downer, but the Canadair Built Sabre Mk.4s the RAF got - some of which were handed on to the Greek Air Force - had black cockpits. The grey cockpit didn't show up until the F-86F-10s.
@alfred, thanks, Alfred. The horizontal side panel are indeed the molded ones. I painted those black at first and did some dry brush afterwards. @tcinla, thanks for the info, Tom. Need to see if I can still modify this.
Interior looks great, my friend @johnb!
@fiveten, thank you, Spiros
