"The response to my group build has been staggering." @dlee
John @johnb, the strangler looks gorgeous. May i ask what airbrush / needle you used for the mottling?
@fxrob, thank you, Felix. Painting, including the mottling, was done with a Fengda BD-180 using a 0.3mm tip. A cheap airbrush for beginners but till now it does the job well for me.
Fuel tank attached and weathered.
Looks excellent, my friend @johnb!
Very nice work John (@johnb). Those mottled Luftwaffe paint schemes are challenging to do, especially in smaller scales.
@fiveten, thanks a lot, Spiros @clipper, thank you, Carl.
@johnb love the subtle weathering on the wheels bay! The fuel tank is a nice detail. As for using a cheap airbrush (i do the same:): You know what they say about expensive cameras- in the end it’s always about the person behind the lens, not about the gear. Same can be said for airbrushing i guess. Your build is very beautiful!
@fxrob, thanks a lot, Felix. You are right, even a perfect race car will not win with a bad driver.
John vd Biggelaar (@johnb) This is looking fantastic !
@lgardner, thanks a lot, Louis
Three out of four canons are back on after I knocked them off at the beginning of the build. Fuselage ladder mounted as well. The kit does not provide the FuG16 antenna underneath the port wing so I want to scratch build that next.
This looks very nice! It’s difficult to do such nice mottling paint work on such a small subject …
It does look fantastic like Louis said. Terrific work, John @johnb. Is this a recent Airfix new tool?
Excellent job so far, my friend @johnb!
@ssgt, thanks a lot, Jay @eb801, thank you, Eric. This is the 2013 tooling, so I think it is the new one indeed. @fiveten, thanks a lot, Spiros
