Great idea for another group build, Erik @airbum and thanks for the invite. This will force me to finally get going on this Folgore, my first ever Italian aircraft build. I've been putting it off for a long time as Italian camouflage intimidates me for some reason.

The plastic is the Hasegawa Macchi sprues with 6 new color schemes courtesy of Eduard providing all new decals, some very nice Brass-in resin wheels and exhaust choices, two extensive frets of colored PE details plus masks. Think Profi-pack. One can build almost any version of Folgore (Italian for "thunderbolt") pre-1944.

I will need to bone up before starting this kit as I know very little about Italy's Regia Aeronautica during WWII. It's time to get out the books and do my homework.

    Great choice, Eric @eb801
One of my favorite Italian aircraft, especially in this scheme

Great to have a DB-engined entry, and indeed a very interesting kit.

I am looking forward to the build commencing after some armchair-aviation Eric!
