@fiveten @johnb thank you John and Spriros. It was a challenge I’ll tell you.the front fender gave me fits. I painted it it looked gret, a few minutes later it had dust under the very tip. I let it dry over night sanded it down washed it shook the water off and i hit the faucet with it and shattered it. I should have known then the day would be a rough one and stopped BUT NO! I pieces it back together let it dry caned it down but could still see cracks so I tried Mr Surfacer let i let it dry. Sanded it AGAIN washed it repainted it, this time a tiny hair under the paint (dog not mine 🙂 ). I left.it. Then I put the decal on it, terible I soaked it with Microsol and use a soft paint brush that I always use only to find out i had used it with black paint and it felt black spots all over it GRRRRR. I tried wax thinking it would buff it out. It didnt and I left it alone. Then I attached ot to the forks only to find I had one down roar on backwards and CA glued everything in place because the little bushing they gave were to loose. SO….i broke it apart and redid it…..SIGH. The fron forks are just sitting there they are not in place yet I have a lot of wiring to do up front still. If this post is long winded thats about how I left doing it yesterday :). Thanks for lookin

Oh, my! what a fender adventure, my friend @bikequeen! Everything that could possibly go wrong went! The Universe was against you but you persevered and won!

Cricket (@bikequeen), it looks great now. I can relate to that frustration level. It gets really hard to let something sit for awhile even when you know its the best course of action. Rigging my Gloster Gladiators had the same effect on me.

@clipper not really Carl to me it looks terrible, but we are our own worst critics. I would never attempt rigging of any kind 🙂

What a struggle you had, Cricket @bikequeen
I can imagine the frustration but to me the work done so far looks great.

@bikequeen - Forever known as 'Cricket's Great Fender Adventure'. LOL - hopefully!

Leave it for another day or two, then go back at it, it can end up as close to perfect as you want.

@bikequeen - I'm sure you'll be able to hide the crimes as you finish the front end. There's always a way.

HI Peeps :). Took a break from modeling for awhile, some unpleasant personal stuff came up as well as a mild cold. Had some great spring weather so did work on my personal truck that I take to fire scenes has all my gear and other fun stuff inside, it used to be a crime scene investigation vehicle … it is in effect a mobile office…I LOVE it. Several months ago I backed it into the drive and and it hung on a corner of the drive (steep drive) it busted out the rear battery box and I have been thinking of ways to rebuilt it for months and during the last week I implemented them, finished it today…those pics are at the end

Anyway. Got the paint in for the Ninja ZX-RR finally and before I took time away I assembled it this far tore up the nose and added the PE parts,

the next step was to wire it when I realized with horror the wire harness (a long spring) was supposed to have heat shrink the entire length not just the five spots along it. For the last week i have stressed over this and debating on whether to take it apart and do it properly or not. The radiator is partially glued in, the exhaust is not, the swing arm and chain will be a problem, how big I dont know.

In other news I got the Hobby Design parts fro the Ducati Superleggra and 3 new kits all pictured….dont know why I bought the car it’s tiny but I thought it looked cool 🙂

Hopefully the personal stuff has been cleared and you recovered well from your cold, Cricket @bikequeen

The truck does look great, seems like your dog gave it a thorough inspection afterwards.

The Ninja looks great, a pity about the situation with the harness. There is no way you can get it done without taking it apart?

Those new kits look wonderful, especially the car and motocompo are cool.

I took it apart, just couldn’t live with it like that 🙂 but thats it for today to be sure!

Put the spring in the heat shrink and shrunk it…melted a bit but it will be hidden. Now to rebuild it….SIGH

Great that personal stuff and the mild cold belong to the past, my friend @bikequeen. Great job on the wiring, a brave decision to pull the Ninja apart. Those new kits are pretty cool indeed! Nice job on your track, looks like new!
