Some amazing progress done on the engine, Cricket @bikequeen
How nice to see that you have used some old material which was collected by your dad, it will certainly make this bike even more special.
A pity you did resign from the fire department but disagreements do not help.

@clipper thank you Carl, there is a lot more to add on to this engine, tiny details still to be painted on.

Re: FD, it’s his loss, I could have made him look good our I could have destroyed him…I choose the latter

@chinesegeorge Thanks George! RE: FD it is what is…now to lick my wounds and move on. The engine will be fantastic…and no this will not be a 3 minute build 🙂

Did the throttle body parts today, but it was missing the throttle plates so I scratch built some. I wanted to more progress shots but my OCD kicked in and I just kept building…SIGH. This will not be a 2 day build guys 🙂

Engine details to follow in the next post

This is how the real ones look

This is how the kit would look if I didn’t add the plates

And here are my scratch built ones

    And the throttle body assembly

The engine progress, I wanted to add PE hose clamps and I ordered them, but they coming from Germany, so no clue how long it will take to get here. I can take it apart and add them later as it is all screwed together meanwhile they are foil ones. There are still hose and wire harnesses to add and scratch build so the throttle body and is just sitting there and other parts are screwed in place until I can do the harnesses

It's amazing just realistic the parts look when the scale is this large. Reminds me of the time when I first saw 1/4 scale RC planes flying and how real they looked. Excellent work Cricket (@bikequeen).

Those carburetors are beyond awesome, Cricket. Good for you adding the butterflies you made. OCD rules!

I agree with Carl. The large scale of this kit makes the parts almost impossible to tell from the real parts. This is really looking cool.

Good work on the carburettors, Cricket @bikequeen, I’m a little surprised by how much detail you need to add on this kit.
