You are doing an amazing job here, Cricket @bikequeen
Don't try to rush this kit. It deserves all your attention and you are clearly giving it all.
So much details to look at.

Well after a week off I jumped back in worked most of the day but you cant tell without a magnifying glass. This is the most detailed most frustrating model I have EVER done but every time I glance over to look at it looks real for a moment 🙂

Tons O wiring but I think I will miss some of it, it’s just impossible for me to get to it.

I got a sheet of Tamiya Carbon Fiber decal and it’s GREAT stuff. Cut it a bit larger than it needs lay it on and brush on Walthers and it lays right down! Amazing

Also to get the tiny wire to stay in the also tiny connector I flatten it a bit before gluing works well and does not pull out as easy

Should be nearing the end today or next month 🙂

Hi Cricket @bikequeen, good to see you back at the workbench, you have considerably more patience than me with all those tiny details, it’s going to be a fantastic model when you’ve finished it.

Nice job on the small details and wiring, Cricket (@bikequeen). I am amazed that you got the carbon fiber decal to lay down over all of the detail. The Walthers decal fluid is really strong. I use it as my last resort on stubborn decals. I actually had it melt a decal several years ago.

@gblair Yep that’s exactly what it did here George, it melted it but in doing so it conformed to every detail and curve. The square in the center is an extra piece added after the decal set. I took a knife and hollowed out the square so the tether piece would set in and sure enough, it had all melted and made it super easy to remove that section.

@brithebuilder Thank Brian! don’t think I will be doing the super detail Top Studio again :). Not until I get a real workbench anyway….LOL

@bikequeen - Looks fantastic Cricket! The muffler springs and O2 sensors look amazing. Yeah, the super detail set from Top Studio is a bit excessive. It definitely adds an additional level of realism though.
