This afternoon/ evening ,after work, I added some small deck guns and painted the lower portion of the hull red. The deck guns are identified on the instruction sheet as 1.1 inch AA guns.

I hope tomorrow will give me the opportunity to fire up the airbrush and paint the upper portion of the hull with Tamiya XF-50. I really like the blue paint scheme & red turret tops. I wish there were other old prewar battleships available near this scale.

USS Pennsylvania... sister ship of Arizona.

That is a huge amount of fire power installed on that deck.

Thank John @johnb, it’s nice to see it coming together. Even though it was old, the Arizona was powerful . Largest battleship the Navy had in 1915.

Thanks Spiros @fiveten ! I’m looking forward to seeing it done also. I think I build two of these back in the 1970s... I recall it being more fun back then for some reason.

Jay @ssgt, I know what you mean, I half completed my 1/700 project before I stalled, popped open a new Dora Wings AT-19, and only 3 days later have it nearly complete. I like ships, but boy to I really like building planes.

But you're in the homestretch really, hoping to see this one setting sail by the new year! 🙂
