I just saw this - having been away from iMod for a while, BUT this is surely excellent work, John!

@j-healy - I just discovered that that Red Roo vacuform canopy does not work with this kit - apparently that AZ model was more wrong than people reported. Don't even waste your time with it.

Also, the rear guns are way too big for .30 cal - they're the same size as the 1/48 .50 cal in my B-17.

Thanks for the heads up, Tom. I was curious about the guns too. I got some paint on mine today, along with a couple of Hurricanes…….

Looking good, John (@j-healy). I have trouble keeping up with one model.

Based on Tom Cleaver’s recommendation, I purchased this book off of Amazon. It contains everything you ever wanted to know about Vengeance operations in Burma. It’s definitely worth picking up if you plan on building one of these. I also ordered a set of Gaspatch .30 caliber machine guns to replace the kit’s .50s. Vengeance I/IIs were armed with the .30s.

I’ve made a little more progress on the Vengeance. I installed the engine after weathering the insides of the cowl. I’m going to use British bombs from an old Monogram Mosquito. The Gaspatch .30 cals are almost finished, and I assembled the wheels. I think it’s time to throw in the towel and just finish this one with a closed canopy.

    Very nice progress, John @j-healy
Even with a closed canopy she will look amazing.

Everything looks great, John (@j-healy). I usually don't go out of my way to open a canopy that isn't already designed to be open. I think in this scale your view of the interior will be fine.
