@fiveten, right, a whole lot of fun! – and thanks
Thanks @lis, I aim to please. . .
For the sake of mankind, no @eb801. And I will.
Fortunately a solution has been found to reduce the gap @johnb. More on that another time.
The office
Attention turned to the office, to get the fuselage closed
It will be a lot easier to get the fuselage bits done with it closed, and so I started on the cockpit. First, a few words about the IP; These machines were as good as a whole new plane, and of course the instrument panel (IP) were very different than a 109. The left side panel were a bit wider – the center thus moved to the right, and the right panel had the variometer in the “kneehole” underneath.
The AML photoetch panel looks very nice, but sadly it is too wide for the eduard cockpit. I will make some tests to see what to do.
The radiohatch has a quicklocking panel in it and a piece of tape were uset to transfer the shape from the AML hatch.
The tape was transferred to mark the location, then a knife and needle were used to cut the hatch.
The right panel was re-worked, fuellines moved, breathing hose removed, a panel for signalcartridges made and a handle and pushrod made
On the left side the fuelprimer had to be altered, and a few more items, like the trimwheels will come later.
On the floor the radio and the fuelpump were deleted
And the back of the cannoncover was removed (they did not have an enginecannon and used the space for something else).
next up I hope to have the fuselage closed – tune in again to check, and feel free to comment
