I bought a set of damaged models and the P-38 was one of them. It is missing the props and tail plane. That was quickly resolved by using spares from a Monogram kit. I have separated the glued pieces and re-glued correctly. Sanding in progress. Stay tuned.

Still have an old Spitfire here and do not dare to start yet with the re-new process.

You are a glutton for punishment, David (@thevid). Resurrecting this model will be a challenge, but I think it will be fun to do. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the rebuild.

Restoring a P38 however is worth the work.

After first coat of primer more sanding it's starting to look a bit better now.

Final primer applied, found a stand and now to select a scheme. I'm leaning towards an OD/NG version. Let's see what's in the binders of 1/48 scale decals. It will be built as Aurora intended without modifications.
