Clear coat looks great, my friend @johnb! It will for sure give you flexibility when applying the top white.

A layer of clear certainly can't hurt, and it makes it look like they just drove it out of the showroom. :o)

Slowly recovering from my health issues, so not much progress, but I guess I can call the bottom of the wings done.

@johnb, I think from the pictures the brush-painted solution looks best - at least on screen!

@inflames, small progress is also progress - best of luck with the recovery of your health.

@inflames, maybe a little, but it is nicely done. Health recovery is most important currently.

@airbum, thanks, Erik. A little update in a mintue.

Today was the moment of truth to see if the winter scheme would work well.

After the clear coat dryed sufficiently, I applied the washable white randomly.

Next I used a wide soft brush and applied water on a larger area to get the white a bit 'soaked'.

After that, gently brushing a bit over the 'soaked' surface till the white vanishes at random locations.

Current results are as shown on the next pictures, still a bit shiny because it did not fully dry yet.

Comments on the results are welcome as always, whether good or bad.

My thoughts are to apply a new very thin layer of the washable white and give it a very gentle rub.

Looking great from here, my friend @johnb!
Another thin layer seems a good idea!

Looking real good here John @johnb. I agree with Spiros. Just a smidge more white.

Actually, I'ma go with leaving the winter distemper as is. Makes the airplane look like it's put in some hard labor there on the eastern front gulag.

@fiveten, thank you, Spiros. It turned out even better than I was hoping for. The washable white works great.

@eb801, thanks, Eric. A very thin layer it will be.

@tcinla, thanks a lot, Tom. The idea is to apply a very thin layer to smoothen the sharp demarcations of the current effects.

After a second round of some winter white, a very light mist, and some rubbing, I do think the results are not that bad.

Of course a bit of weathering needs to be done also at a later stage.

My personal opinion is that this washable white is very nice to get a decent winter look and is quite easy to use, thanks for the advice George @gblair.

I think you can score this as a win, John (@johnb). Looks great. How controllable was the paint removal process? Did the paint come off easy, or did you have to work at it?

Wings look great, Sebastijan (@inflames). The detailed panel lines and rivets will look great with the paint and weathering.
