    @inflames, thank you, Sebastijan. Those tiny elements are nice details to a build.
    @fiveten, thanks a lot, Spiros. It sure does.

    Looks great, John (@johnb). I got a big smile when I added the gear indicators in the wing. What a cool detail. Burnt exhausts came out well. Getting very close to the end.

    @gblair, thank you, George. The entire kit gave more pleasure than I expected at first. Nice fitting and more than sufficient detailing.

    @eb801, thanks, Eric. As a matter of fact, I call it done after adding the antenna wire and matt coat. Ofcourse I do see things which could have been done better, but overall I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

    See next post.

    Calling it done after adding the antenna wire, the landing light, applying the final matt coat and removing the canopy masks.
    Having a closer look brings always points which could have been done better.
    Nevertheless I'm pretty happy with the outcome.
    She will be presented on the headlines soon.
    Below just some quick pictures to get an impression.

    Looks great, John (@johnb), and it was a pleasure following along. Now that you have tried the "Washable" paint, I should dig mine out and give it a try. I am always amazed at the end of a build when I take one last, detailed look at the plane, think everything is fine, take the final photos, and discover several things I missed. Oh, well. They say the camera sees everything. Well done on a complex kit.

    @fiveten, thanks, Spiros. Hope to get some good moment to take pictures today.

    @gblair, thank you, George. Cameras do indeed capture all those little imperfections which are missed by human eye. Or does it simply mean my eyes are not that good anymore ๐Ÿ™‚

    @tcinla, thanks a lot, Tom.

    Now that I am feeling a little better, I've made some major progress. Unfortunately the join between fuselage and wings wasn't the best so some surgery was required there. Machine gun barrels were replaced with insulin injection needles while the 23mm gun barrels and pitot tube were made of brass tubing from Albion Alloys. She's now ready for some paint under the coat of MrSurfacer 1500.

    Good to hear you are feeling better now, Sebastijan @inflames
    Your Il2 is progressing nicely as well.
    Replacing the barrels and pitot tube has made them look much better.

    Great progress, my friend @inflames! Interesting to hear that the Tamiya kit has fit issues.
