@fiveten Spiros, I've seen there's Athens Airshow this following weekend. I mentioned I am thinking about going there over a weekend to my significant other, and I guess I don't have to say she wasn't really amused by the idea 😀 But I'll certainly be exploring more of Greece in the future.

@airbum Erik, haha, well it's a Lacquer cote, so it was cured before I managed to clean the airbrush 😀 But I sure plan to refill the batteries and finish this build soon upon return.

@johnb John, thank you and thank you! 🙂

Your IL-2 looks great, Sebastijan (@inflames). I noticed that you used Mr. Paint on your plane. I had never used it before, but I got some RLM 02 for the cockpit of the early 109 I am building. It seems to work very well. It is a little hard to get where I am, but I think my local hobby shop will start carrying it. The forward to the finish line on your IL-2.

@gblair George, if you can get them, get them! These paints alone made me a better modeller I kid you not.

I suspect you're a good modeler because of your skills, Sebastijan (@inflames), but I think finding a paint you like is certainly helpful. I had a hard time transitioning from using Floquil lacquers to acrylics, then I found Tamiya paints and my headaches disappeared. Now I mainly use AK Real Colors, as well as Tamiya, but my local hobby shop stopped selling AK because they said they were hard to get. I like Mr. Paint, but they have a stronger odor than either Tamiya or AK. So I guess you just have to roll with the changes.

Looking very good Sebastian @inflames. Mr. Paint? I’ll have to look into it. What? Nobody here uses Vallejo?

Meanwhile, enjoy your trip. Vacations are absolutely essential. When I visit air museums or go to an air show in a foreign country or state, my wife heads out to arboretums and gardening/flower shows that same day. Works for us!

    G'day Sebastian (@inflames),
Your build, the painting and decals looks great.
I though about building that aircraft too, but have decided to do something different.
I'm not too far off painting and hope the colours look as good as yours.

    Spiros (@fiveten),
I've just looked up the airshow website and it looks like a great event.
If (when) I ever get over to Greece I'll have to make it to a show.

Lots of blue sky but not so much water.

    And, back on topic...
The fit of the wing to fuselage is great at the wing root and under the nose with just a little blending required under the rear fuselage.
From my observation the later is not on a panel line and so needs to be eliminated completely.
Not shown are the horizontal tails which also had a great fit.
