@fiveten - Yes. You are modeling with "greased lightning", Spiros. Is Hu87 Humbrol? Does look good.

    Thanks my friends @johnb, @tcinla and @eb801!

Hu87 is Humbrol, named "steel grey", but it actually dries to this bluish shade. It is recommended (along with other brands) by the AM instructions, stating, though, that it is only a recommendation. It is true that many pics depicting Russian planes of the era show a few variations in shades, with the "underside blue" being a subject of "the specific shade for the specific bird at the specific time", something that yours truly clearly has NOT gone for, convincing myself that the instructions stated Hu87 is close enough 🙂

Ah, yes, I forgot: I had Hu87 in hand 🙂

    Gray applied...

...(with the remaining used as topside gray for my Seahawk). I only tightened the demarcation lines adjacent to the brown color, the ones to the green will be tightened upon spraying green.
    Thanks for stopping by!

Your colors look right on, Spiros (@fiveten). Russian colors have always been a subject of debate, so I think there are many routes to color selection. I use the "duck" method when selecting colors for my models: Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, must be a duck. So, for you, if it looks like what it is supposed to, then it must be OK. I suspect you will be done with your IL-2 before I can start mine.

Bit more work done on the interior.
The seatbelt, decals applied on maskingtape, have been mounted. At least they do look not that flat anymore.
Control stick and rudder pedals mounted as well.
A bit of weathering done also. Still need to color some of the controls.

@fiveten, thanks, Spiros. Nice to see our different approaches, yours is progressing without signs of the interior while I'm only focussing on that part. I am always impressed how you get the interior so nicely done at the final stage.

Looks great, John (@johnb). Colors look perfect. Exterior colors on yours also look great, Spiros (@fiveten). My airbrush didn't survive the move and storage very well, so I am waiting for some parts so I can do a little tuneup. That should speed up my B-17 and IL-2. I need to hurry and catch up.
