Finished!

Since both of these airplanes were painted August 14/15 1941, and both were lost before the end of the month, I doubt there was much wear on the new paint jobs. However, on Dunn's airplane, since its underside was not repainted, the oil stains would be more pronounced than on the Machowiak airplane.

One thing I didn't notice till I was looking at the Spitfire IIb in the light today is the very neat fact that Eduard "got it right" about the squadron codes - they aren't done in Sky, they're done in "Duck Egg Blue" which is the color they chose for the codes for awhile before going to Sky. It's the little stuff like this that is why I love Eduard.
