I have Tamiya's F-14A in 1/48th. I do have some after market and to me is it worth putting it in or not? I know from a distance it looks great and from a distance flat picture. I like to hear from other modelers there opine.
I'd say "go for it" as long as you already have the PE or AM parts. That's just my opinion based on exactly 1 model I've started using PE parts and aftermarket goodies.
