Nice work on the pylons and preperations for the painting, Sebastijan @inflames
    Well done.

Nice work, Sebastijan (@inflames). I'm just now getting up to speed with your build, but the cockpit looks great, along with the prep work on the rest.

Thanks guys! Time for some progress update.

It is finally time to enter the realm of 50 shades of grey! As we both went with different primers, we both had to adapt a different technique - Mitja with grey primer started marbling work with darker greys (MRP-100 and MRP-186) while me, with black base, went with lighter grey marbling (MRP-246).

Thanks guys. Actually I am posting these updates when both of us reach a certain stage of the build. So I am personally way ahead with the build - actually already finishing the final weathering touches and I must say I really like how this tedious marbling work turned out under final paint scheme and combined with post shading.

The marbling effects do look fairly tedious, but I am looking forward to seeing your results, Sebastijan @inflames. I have tried pre-shading panel lines, but never anything as comprehensive as this. Very interesting.

Thank you, guys! I know this is a very slow progress but a progress is still a progress 🙂

We've finally painted our aircraft - mine is in high vis colour scheme and Mitja's is overall grey and all-business like.
I have used reference photos for the patchwork of oversprays and for the first time used anti-slip paste from Ammo to recreate the anti-slip areas over the intakes. I really like the result and will likely do it on the future builds as well.

Thanks guys! A little bit of my progress.
I still consider myself a beginner figure painter but I really like how these little fellas turned out for my F-14 vignette. Pilot and RIO were slightly modified to fit into GWH F-14D. And last but not least, if you are debating whether or not to purchase rather expensive Reedoak figures - they are top notch quality and a worthy addition to your model display!

With this result, I would definitely not say you are a beginner, Sebastijan @inflames
    They are painted very nicely.
