    Custom light blue applied

Sneaked an hour's time frame and applied my custom made light blue.
It is going to be toned down after Future and final coat application, so it will come close to reality.
Some overspray touchups are to be commenced upon blue drying.
    Thanks for stopping by!

Some excellent progress here @fiveten I like what I see very much! Me too I am still an enamel guy, though recently I had to replace the needle bearing in my Badger 100 general purpose AB. I was told that the mineral spirits I use as thinner erode the vinyl of that part. Not sure whether that is true. I think water thinned enamels are generally more friendly to an AB but then not sure about the stickyness. Never had an issue with Revell enamels that way. Of course the thinner smells a lot but I try and focus on AB work only when nobody is home 🙂

    Great stuff my friend!

Thanks my friends @eb801 and @michel-verschuere!

My "detail" airbrush is a Badger 100SG, the version with a tiny opening at the top. I admit I don't use it that much, as my Revell Vario (which is a reboxed nice Thayer & Chandler Vega - made by Badger) at its finest settings is sufficient.

I believe the claim that minerals erode the bearing are highly exaggerated. These things fail with use, sooner or later.

I paint at the basement, I have a mobile table that I put near the garage door that I keep open during painting, then, upon finishing, I open a big window at the opposing side, so fresh air is cleaning the room. I usually leave the painted model outside the garage, at a shaded and "protected" spot, to initially dry, for a couple of hours, then bring it in.

Have a nice Sunday, my friends!

That is a very interesting camo my friend!

Regarding airbrushes I think your discussion with Michel hits the spot - moveable parts do wear and the agressive thinners also take their toll (stil waiting for new parts for my airbrushes)

Looking forward to the decals Spiros!

    Good morning my friend @airbum!

Found a half hour Off-monkey (Qc1&2) time (ok, I admit: had to promise them I would take them to the base aftrewards, a CL-215 will perform test flight at the neighbouring Hellenic Aerospace Industry, they use the same runway...)

...and performed airbrushing touchups. Here are the results:

The blue has been Futured, so it is already starting to slightly "tone down" to more neutral/flat looking.

Thanks for stopping by - and liking!

Camo looks perfect, Spiros (@fiveten). It looks bare without landing gear and all the missiles, wing tanks, and so on.

The tone looks indeed "softer" now and is more in line with the others, Spiros @fiveten.
Your sons are really lucky to be able to spot this CL215 nearby.

    Thanks my friend @johnb!

And if you look at the last pic above (the one showing the undersides), you may notice that the blue at the front has a different hue than the back; this is due to the daylight playing with the plane: a ghost scheme indeed!

Regarding the CL testflight, it did not take place today, due to some bugs...

Nevertheless, QC1 and QC2 (my sons) payed their visit...

...performed the preflight inspection and enjoyed some CL-215 cockpit time!

As you can see, they are very thorough!
