Hi Greg. Thanks for the nice comment. The CF-100 is not often seen on modelling sites. I had this kit in the stash for many years and nearly sold it to a friend but the photo (posted earlier) of a Canuck and Delta Dagger in formation persuaded me to tackle this kit and see how far I can detail it.

Thanks Erik and John. It is by far the most scratchbuilt details I ever crammed into such a small space. Once you start scratchbuilding it becomes an exercise in which you challenge yourself to see how much details you can add.

    Incredible result, Morne.
I'm really jealous about the way how you are able to work with these tiny parts and make them yourself.
Can not recall that I have ever seen a kit with more parts/details provided by the manufacturer.

Thanks John for the kind compliment. Good reference photos, a steady hand, Mk. 1 eyeballs, lots of patience and Evergreen styrene are all you need. Moreover, don't be afraid to experiment. With the CF -100 the kit is SO basic that anything added to it can be seen as an enhancement. Lol.

The Hobbycraft CF-100 decals are best assigned to the dustbin. I got hold of the excellent Canuckmodels decals from Canada via Hannants for the Mk. 4 & 5 Canucks. I like the colourful markings of 409 Night Hawk Squadron.

92 pieces plus extras for the nose landing gear area...!
With your amazing skills, the result is nothing less than a masterpiece, Morne!
I cannot stop looking at it!
The Canuckmodels decal sheet looks excellent. I like your scheme choice, too!
Looking forward to your MLG improvements!

Thanks my friend! You guys are inspiring me to go the extra mile! This is what I like about this group and site in particular! The MLG is less complex than the FLG so hopefully it will be less labour intensive.

Today I started detailing the MLG. I decided to start with the smaller details first. There are lots of 'plumbing' around this area as well as retraction gear and hydraulic mechanisms.

The same wonderful approach as at your NLG area, Morne!
    Looks great already!

Hard to believe those dimensions, Morne
    Fantastic.

The past two days I spent a total of 9 hours detailing one of the main undercarriage legs. I had to scratchbuild a retraction strut and jack screw as well as hydraulic pipes and brake lines. A total of 34 pieces of Evergreen styrene, wire, solder wire and Tamiya masking tape were used. The small size of most parts has made this a slow and frustrating journey.

Thanks my friend. Tons of patience and a steady hand is a must. Needless to say it is most rewarding and will add some visual interest to the model.

Morne, I'm almost speechless (almost. . .) I have to say that you are one of the leaders of the scratchbuild pack. Awesome detail work. A true inspiration - thank you for sharing @mornem.
