    Nice work you all!

    When friends ask me what I do now that I’m fully retired and I mention building models, I often get a look of puzzlement followed by “Whaaaat?” A close friend said “Oh, you build toys” when he looked at my display case. But I must say, I’ve never been so busy and modeling is just a small part of it.

    George@gblair: The WWII Museum in NOLA is absolutely superb and we can thank Spielberg and Hanks. Be sure to catch the introductory presentation if this is your first visit. Have a great time.

    Made a start on the interior. The decals did work very nice. For the seat, I added some patafix to create the cushion, painted it dark green and the headrest painted red. I'm thinking about creating the seat belts from masking tape.

    Good progress, my friend @johnb! Great idea to use Patafix for the cushions. Belts from masking tape sounds a good idea.

    Hi, Eric (@eb801): I have heard a lot of good things about the WW2 Museum. We had some family stuff come up, so we decided to go in January. By postponing, we can spend my wife's birthday at home.

    Hi, John (@johnb): Interior looks great. The kit decals look as good as the aftermarket I used, especially looking through the canopy.

    Slow going today. I am trying to use aftermarket stuff that was designed for the Hasegawa F-104, so everything needs a little adjustment. I added the interior from the Quinta Studios set for the Hasegawa F-104G. All of the pieces required some alteration and trimming, but I think they are OK. I am still in the midst of adding all of the stuff to the resin seat I am using. I hope to get the interior done, weight added in the nose, and the fuselage closed tomorrow. Cheers.

    I take it since your pain threshold is "subterranean" for morons that the guy who said you build toys was consigned t o the Stupid People File.

    @fiveten, thank you, Spiros
    @gblair, thanks, George. What a big improvement on your interior over the default one from the kit. That resin seat and those Quinta decals do make it look much more realistic.

    Thanks, John (@johnb). Now, if I can just get all of these new parts to fit in the model, things will be great.

    Nice work, Spiros (@fiveten). Where did you find a piece of tubing that was the correct size?

    Is that a piece of PVC pipe, Spiros @fiveten? You sure made it work.
