    Looking great, my friend @michaelt!
    Ahhhh, those bent wings...
Seems they were removed from the mold too soon...
    Looking forward to your progress!

    Great progress, Michael.
For sure you will get those bent wings straight again.

Fingers crossed that the wings will be easy to straigthen. Your wood-trials look promising.

I am looking forward to this build, Michael (@michaelt). The Dr.1 is my favorite WW1 airplane. I haven't built anything with more than one wing in 20 years, but maybe this is the one that will convince me to try more than one wing. :o)

I've updated my research document with a few more details.
You can find it at the same link as above.

    Further progress:
    the cockpit has progressed.
I will add the cross-bracing wires to the fuselage side structures and am considering adding control lines for the ailerons, elevators and rudder before assembling the unit.

Plus the engine, cowling and firewall.
You can't see clearly the oil stains around the inside of the cowling, and the reflection on the firewall hides them a bit too.
Not that you will see them on the finished kit...
And, yes, the cowl is red, but the plane won't be all red...
I managed to scratch the cowl face, so I painted it stainless steel as a bit of wear and tear.

I have the WNW Fokker D.VII kit. It will be a new frontier for me when I build it. I have never attempted any multi-wing aircraft model. I like your work and attention to detail, very good!

Building one of these is like building the actual plane, Michael (@michaelt). It looks like the only thing you don't have to do is stretch the fabric over the wings. Looking great.

    Jim (@jaltergott6),
I last built a (1/72) biplane in the early 1980s and rigged it with cotton thread.
We will see how this one goes.

    Almost, George (@gblair).
Having tried hot water twice, I still have to work out how to straighten the wings.
It's almost like stretching the fabric.
