OK, @fiveten, @johnb and @gblair, it has been almost half a year, and the paint must be dry?

    Finishing touches!

We continued with the last bits and touch-ups on her P51.

The last PE (for the canopy) assembled with white glue, propeller assembled and hood un-masked.

Touching up the black was made easier by using whatever support she had on hand!

And the very last bits are ready for final assembly – just need to decide if it will be posed open or closed, then that will most likely be it!

Looks great, Erik (@airbum). This kit has been a long time in the making part of it. I would really have trouble going back to a kit after a long break. The way my memory is sometimes, I would have trouble figuring out what I still needed to do. It was 99% done already, but I am sure it will be nice to finally get this one completely done.

I'm late to the party. Erik, neat to see two brothers from different mothers. If your into 109s it seems logical to do a P-51C they where often mistaken for 109s. TC had pointed out that the ICM kit is a reversed engineered Tamiya kit. Looking at Johns project, TC pointed out that some of the round headed rivets on his Tamiya wing were based on info taken from a restored 1/1 Mustang. The ICM has the same error. A hold over from the Stalin era. Either way having the Country Gentleman (Eduard kit) being refined and sophisticated vs the Country Bumpkin (ICM) who can get her done and plow through pooh is all good. I've been enjoying this blog and its comments. Its a great motivator. How many modelers can post a professional hand model? Too good.

    Finished!

And with some sort of sun available for photos, I declare this one done.

I have to find some decals for the propeller, but for all intents and purposes I think it is finished.

    Thanks for following along @fiveten, @gblair, @holzhamer, @johnb, @pb_legend, @klavs1972, @luftwaffe-birdman, @lgardner, @uscusn, @gkittinger, @adrianstarling, @tom-bebout, @jimh, @coling @stephen-w-towle, @mvtb and silent followers. It has been a pleasure!

What an amazing finish, Erik @airbum
The red accents, especially around the canopy give this aircraft clearly something extra.
    Well done.
