    Nice work, Michael (@michaelt). Everything is really coming together. I was stationed at an F-4 base in the 1970s and remember the camo going fairly deep into the intakes. I always thought it was because the intakes were so big that they needed the extra coverage. Deep in the recesses of my mind I also remember hearing that the reason F-4s had both ailerons and spoilers for turning was that it improved lateral tracking of a ground target, but don't quote me. Looking forward to the rest of the build.

    The undersurfaces have been painted.


    And the tan painted as well as some of the lighter green.

    I’m also building a 1/72 Revell RF-4E and am testing out metalic paints on it. I’ve never realy done a heat stained metal surface before.


    The scheme is all a black Luftwaffe machine with a large squadron crest on the belly.

    And the ligher green is done. The scheme looks rather like the Australian Army Auscam colours.
