Nice work, Michael (@michaelt). Everything is really coming together. I was stationed at an F-4 base in the 1970s and remember the camo going fairly deep into the intakes. I always thought it was because the intakes were so big that they needed the extra coverage. Deep in the recesses of my mind I also remember hearing that the reason F-4s had both ailerons and spoilers for turning was that it improved lateral tracking of a ground target, but don't quote me.
