My eyesight left the house long ago, so glasses and magnifiers are always around.

Same here regarding the eyesight, lost it some time ago and cannot find it again.
On the pictures the imperfections were not visible, Lis @lis
Good you have it the way want it right now.

It is true that NMF reveals ANY imperfection, my friend @lis!

It is great that you only found two places to fix on your metal finish, @lis. Usually when I paint, the whole model is one giant opportunity to fix things.

I'm glad that You like my NMF.

PS. changing the subject, the long-awaited Xtradecal decals have arrived for the planned Spitfire from Malta. I also ordered the newest Kit of the Spitfire Vc Airfix as part of an environmental interview compare with AZ/KP Spitfires.

After all night fruitless fight with steinlees panels over exhaust (I accitentaly tore surface, but Steinless paint looks the same as aluminium cover, so effect was poor!), I sanded this panels and repainted on Super Chrome II. After this fact, in order to wash away the bad impression of the night, I will start paneling the weapon inspection hatches for the first time. And that's the effect. I hope you like it more than me ... I'm so sleepy today...

Finally I paint thin coat of semi gloss black on steinless panel. What do you think about it? It will be ok?

I think it looks fine, @lis. Have you tried searching Youtube for videos that might help with some of the effects you are trying to achieve? I am always amazed at some of the tips and ideas you can find there.

I think stainless steel panels looks ok in my model:

I like time-lapse model builds. Great choice, @lis.
