@eb801 - yeah, it's out of stcok all over. You might try Megahobby (they're more complete than
    Sprue Brothers).

Here's the two Tempests with decals and final finish. Final assembly next.

The Tempest II is in the markings for 16 Squadron in Germany postwar.

The Tempest V is in the immediate postwar markings of Clostermann's first Tempest V, as "Le Grand Charles."

@holzhamer - myself, I am a radial fan (you can fit me right behind the prop, just like an Fw 190 πŸ™‚ )

    Wow, really impressive Tom @tcinla.
Both, your building quality as well as the speed.
My personal preference has always been the chin radiator Tempest, it looks more like an angry bird like that.

Well done Tom. I think I have an earlier version of this aircraft and I don't think it is as detailed as this one.

They look great, Tom (tcinla). I have always thought the Tempest was one of the more elegant planes of the war.

@thevid - Outside of a resin conversion for the old (awful) Eduard Tempest V kit, I can't remember any other Tempest II past the ancient Matchbox kit that had parts to do the II and the V and VI in it. If there is something out there I am not aware of, this kit beats it - it is just really stupendous. The V makes up nice with some work, but the II wants to be built.

If you're talking about the Tempest V there was a kit back in the 70s from AMT that is so bad it makes the worst old kit you've done look like a Tamiya Special. Really - no matter what modern magic you want to expend on it, it is time, effort and talent wasted.
