    I am thinking about using templates for masking.
    Trace around the upper wing before starting then copying the camo onto that .
    Then cut the templates out and trace around them onto masking tape etc.

    Good idea, Simon. Here are some pics from my Eduard Fw 190 build with cut out masks, way better.
    It was fortunate, that i kept a Tamiya template, i copied that and put the cutouts on a self adhesive masking paper from Revell.

    Yes mate, similar, you could also raise the templates on worms of blu-tack to give a soft edge finish.

    Flying masks ! Will do this on a future project. The 190 came out nice, i guess.
