Portuguese UH-19: Modifications to the Italeri Kit to get 'the real thing'.
Used the site's new feature to insert comments on photos.
kit almost done.
Any comments/suggestions?

1. interior texture made from epoxy. Just a small part will be visible
1. before and after some drilling
1. some weight added
1. adding seat belts
1. dry fit
1. adding the tail
1. adding detail: step
1. turned out ok
1. door handles: drill and small wire
1. the kit was a seaplane, had to make landing gear
1. new landing gear made from Brass
1. all decals were home made

2. painted straps

3. navigation lights

4. The Portuguese heli had no stabilizers
1. Some antenas added
1. some panel liner and varnish
1. Back in the 1950's

The H-19 is one of my most favorite helicopters. Your model really looks good in natural metal and the Portuguese markings. The extra work you did on detailing is awesome and really makes a difference in the appearance. Is this in 1/72d? Great job!
