You're progressing nicely with it, Walt @luftwaffe-birdman

A little more progress, I cut the vacuum form canopy and installed it. Luckily they gave me two, I cut the first one too small. With a little trimming the fit was pretty good.
I also put together the propellor assemblies. They are a combination of plastic and resin, and I think turned out okay. Other than the landing gear I am pretty much done. I am going to mask off the canopy and get ready for paint next, and worry about the gear when done.

Great work, Walt @luftwaffe-birdman. I religiously avoid anything with a vacuform canopy. I have messed up every one I have tried, so I figure the canopy gods are trying to tell me to stick with a plastic canopy. I still mess the plastic ones up sometimes, but not as often as vacuform.

I took some time to do a pin wash on the XP-55 Ascender, and tonight hit is with a nice coat of Dullcote. Since the plane I am building really didn't see much use or abuse, I think the fade and panel lines looks about right. I am rounding the corner on completion with this and pretty happy with the results. Not a show winner but a nice display item.

Apart from being a joy to follow these builds, it is very interesting to see them "side-by-side" here.
