AMT 1/48 P-40K

Since shark week continues here is my contribution. Since Tom Cleaver did an outstanding job explaining the details behind the K model I'll refer readers to his contribution. This is the old AMT kit to which I added some True Detail wheels, and Ultracast seat and an Edwards cockpit. Of course you can't see it as I closed the canopy. The kits greenhouse wasn't designed well for the open position something I discovered too late in the build. This AC depicts the one flown by Major Robert Liles out fo Chengkung, China in 1943. The decals are from Eagle Strike. Enjoy as much as I am in viewing all of the excellent P-40's during shark week.
