Hasegawa 1:32 Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate “Frank”

March 27, 2013 · in Aviation · · 3 · 3.5K

This kit I've build a couple of years ago, if I recall correctly 4 years ago.
It's the kit. And what I can remember , the "bare metal" is sprayed with a spraycan Humbrol acrylic chrome which took ages to harden after is has dried, anti-glare, walkways, wheel wells and Hinomarus were sprayed with revell enamels. Exhaust stains were done with Tamiya weathering pastels. Unit insignia is the only decal used.
No washes... this was in my early building days. I want to build one again in the future.

best regards;
Ulrich

  1. Beautiful finish on that build, Ulrich...a good job all around.

  2. That's a nice, clean build. NMF is great and obviously worth the effort. Stands for "Not My Forte" when I've tried it...

  3. Beautiful job Ulrich! The "Frank" is an awesome model, one of Hasegawa's best in 1:32 scale. The 1:48 scale version is just as nice.
