F-51D Mustang, Korean War – Tamiya 1/72
Hi all
Here I am again. This time with a model I did last year.
This Tamiya Mustang is a beauty to build, very straightforward almost no filler required as we can expect from a Tamiya kit.
The aluminium paint is the H8 Chrome Silver from Gunze thinned with Tamiya X20A.
The kit was built straight from the box as usual.
Any comments and critics are welcome, as ever!
Cheers

I hate to use that word again, Paulo, but it really is a very nice little Mustang!

By that stage of the Mustang’s career, it was painted overall aluminum lacquer, which weathered badly in Korea. You have managed to get that look just right. Nice work.

Thanks mate! It was my intention

Thanks Erich. I’ll probably not be able to replicate this weathering again if I try.
