1/48 Hobby Boss EMB-314
This is my latest project. It's the 1/48 HobbyBoss EMB-314 Super Tucano. I plan to do a straight OOB build. It's my first time using photo etch, and I have to say it's not my favorite material to work with. It was a step outside my comfort zone however, and I do like the results. I just need to learn to handle it better, as the carpet monster was fed quite well during the process.
Interesting. Might be worth starting a work in progress thread in Groups, so people can follow it to completion.
Should be fun for you. BTW, photo-etch is easy...when the bits are BIG and you have 4 hands. .
.
When I put mine together it took a lot of weight in the nose to keep it rom tail-sitting. It looks great when done, enjoy!
Good-lookin' 'pit...looks to be well on the way to a super build.
Following this with some interest. It's definitely a little different...
Yes, it's different than the WWII aircraft I normally build. I've always admired the sleek shape of the Super Tucano, much like my wife, who is also from Brazil!
This looks to be a very interesting project to follow. Looking forward to seeing further in-progress posts.
Thank you all! I've moved the build to the work in progress area:
