Horten Ho.229 1/72
Hello gents
I would like to present my render of a cool little aeroplane i did a little while ago(but it is my most recent plane built). Its a Ho.229 from Revell, a nice little kit which screams for superdetailing. I did the inside tube construction using styrene, made engines with various spare parts and tidbits, did some detailing in the cockpit(new instrument table, PE harnes, pedals…), made tanks for the detached wing and metal antennae. Gun tube is medical needle with drilled-out supressor. Painted with GunzeSangyo paints, slightly discolored and postshaded the panel lines. Since this is a somewhat what if version, it would be a preproduction example and weathering was kept on the down side.
Hope you like it

Nicely done! Love the added details and scratchbuilding. I’m still a rookie at that element, but ramping up little by little.

Extraordinary workmanship…especially in that scale – from the bladders in the wings right down to the beat up jack. Great job, sir.

Marina, very imaginative build, and a credit to you. If shows what can be achieved with a little forethought without having to resort completely to expensive aftermarket items. A good presentation too. I like this a lot.
It makes me laugh to see the horrendous prices people will pay for the Zoukei Mura Horten, when you can get a result like this (yes, I know not 1/32, but in some ways all the more remarkable in 1/72).

I always love it when someone gets their tools and plasticard out and start building for himself.
Nice job
