1/48 Trumpeter Su-24M2 Komplekt Zipped
The Trumpeter Su-24M2 can be made into a striking example with correction sets from Komplekt Zip. Front and rear fuselage, intakes and nose bring the Fencer in-line to the prototype. The shallow spine is still there but has a negligible effect on the over all look (At least to my eye). The usual Aires resin improvements and resin wheels complete the build. Begemot & (Authentic decals-Bort Number) for the modern Russian Federation registration markings. The only down side is I lost count after 250 decals on the airframe, then more decals on the external ordy and fuel tanks.
John
Good looking build, John. I think of Komplekt Zip as a supplier of armour resin. Wasn't aware that they did aircraft items too.
Nicely finished, John...I like it (dunno if I'd have applied ALL 250 decals, though). 🙂
We all get carried away from time to time. LoL
Nice John - I love the Fencer and built one in Iraqi livery. I just finished a 1/72 Foxbat using a Begemot stencils set and KNOW what you mean - I lost count at 30 hours worth of decal application...
I've been wanted to do another Su-24 in Russian colors, and if Begemot makes a 1/72 stencil set I just may head in that direction.
Begemot has the 1/72 decals for the Su-24. Linden Hill & Victory Models have them listed on their web sites. Trumpy's New 1/72 MR is nice but they mixed up the versions and left some critical parts out the box. They left out the Recce pod and some camera bumps off the fuselage. Lots of M2 stuff in the box. They did correct the aft fuselage and windscreen.
I love it John. I don't think I've seen an Su-24 build before. You've done a superb job on this one! Bravo sir!
Gary
Thanks Gary, there are a few builds online, but most like the MiG-29 or Su-27 and it's derivitives. I gotta give some love to the swing wingers, it's in the blood!
Im follow *
Like nice begining .

This is real build kit .
Hi John great job on a seldom seen Su-24 in any scale. Very well done and nice to see one completed. I have this kit and it has a ton of parts. But I am intrigued by the update set you mentioned, Rob noted of what I was not aware of the update set from Komplekt Zip either. Where do you get one? Anyway thanks for sharing a unique jet.
Chuck
Thanks Chuck, I did not know Komplekt Zip did resin for Armour.
http://www.lindenhillimports.com carries the aircraft resin parts in the U.S.
A chap from Russia makes the masters and casts the parts.
It's the first Su-24 I've seen modelled as well John! Great build, nicely done. That is a lot of decals mind!
Great looking Fencer, never heard of that producer, so i have learned something new.
Definitely a cool looking plane, and a very nicely finished and detailed model, good job, John.
