Hasegawa 1/450 IJN Akagi
Well, another kit has been made and this is a good first for me.
I started getting into ship building when learning about Imperial Japanese Navy ships during ww2, and have actually got me caught on the hook, learning their names, cannon displacement and so on. My favourite would have to be this – Akagi. My favourite aircraft carrier of WW2. I wanted to get the 1/350 scale version but didn’t have enough funds, so I managed to grab this of ebay at a price of Β£40 – well worth the money guys! I will be getting more ship models in the future.
If you would like to see the full build through of this head over to my YouTube channel (ModArt633) or simply search for a 1/450 Akagi playlist. Or if your heading to Telford this year, see it in person π
Happy Modelling Guys!
Mike

Your favorite carrier, my friend the late Dick Best’s favorite target. π
Really nice work here, looks realistic and you did a lot of nice detail work with itsy-bitsy parts.
