Have 3 Rolls's now-watch out Leno....
Finally found the pattern 1914 version of Roden's 1/35 scale Rolls Royce armored car. (Or as Roden says, "British" armored car, liscensing, you know). This one I think is really slick because it has spoked wheels and a low-profile turret, plus a nifty Naval ensign is provided. The spokes are photo-etched and the kit gives you plastic formers to get the depth correct whilst bending. Very nicely done. Model Master Dark Sea Grey is the base color, lightened in various shades and the tires were my interpretation of early undyed rubber. "RNAS" is Royal Naval Air Service, the initial users of these machines, as it was seen in England in 1916, after the trenches in France stopped all movement. Finally all 3 together in their riveted glory.
Nicely done Bill, I love those old RR armored cars
Nicely finished and photographed, Bill...I like 'em. 🙂
Beautiful thing, that tin box. You have created a lot of visual interest although the RR is in a monochrome finish. Have you posted pics of the other two RRs?
No but go here, full review.

Glad you like thanks.
Wow. The spoked wheels are great and very neatly done. But the monochrome finish/weathering... you outdone yourself.
Nice job Bill, especially like the spoke wheels.
