1/48 Airfix Hurricane Mk I

January 17, 2016 · in Aviation · · 6 · 1.8K

This is the new tool Mk I. The kit was great and I think is arguably the best out there in of the Hurricane. I added resin exhaust and wheels from Brassin by Eduard and stole a rear view mirror from one of my Hasegawa kits. The model is painted with Gunze Mr Color paint. Markings are from an Xtradecal sheet.

  1. This Airfix kit is a real honey, and you did a great job with it.

  2. Lookin' good, Geoffrey...long time, no see. 🙂

  3. Ah, another refugee from the madhouse. Great looking Hurri. As builder of several Hasegawas and Classic Airframes, you can tell just looking at the parts in the box, this is a winner.

  4. Lovely work Geoffrey, a fine build of a great kit.
    Well done mate.

  5. It looks great, I've always preferred the Hurricane over the Spitfire, but, what I don't understand is, if this is the best out there you still had to add those extras, is it really that great?

  6. Very nice looking, and the red lightening bolt is unique!
