Revell 1/25 1964 Chevy Pickup

March 31, 2016 · in Automotive · · 11 · 2.2K

Built box stock with no wiring, just paint detailing. The paint is Testor's Model Master Custom Lacquer Nassau Blue Metallic with a White Roof. The wood paneling in the bed is represented with paint. This is one of those kits that fits well and looks good in both detail and stance right out of the box.

  1. The bed looks like wood to ME. And the truck appears to be different colors in different pics. I assume you experimented with the lighting? Nice build.

  2. If "experimented with the lighting" means my wife walked into the room, pulled up the shades and said "it looks like mausoleum in here", then yes, I experimented with the lighting... Lol

  3. I like the two tone paint and the bed does look nice

  4. Very nice job..The classic stock look I like it. I have this kit waiting on the shelf and you just talked me into starting it next. Thanks...did it have the two piece hood if so how was the fit ?

  5. Beautiful work the bed looks like wood nice color combo

  6. Nice! Looks like its right off the show room floor

  7. Nice Wood colour (the other's nice too).
Why do I read so often in critics "wood-structure is missing"? Any carved wood-structure is overexaggerated - the smaller the scale, the worse it is.
A good paint-job - like here makes the best "wood".

  8. It's a very neat job, Frank, I mean it's really, very, very neat, excellent workmanship, but, maybe just a little too neat. Okay, maybe it's just out of the showroom! I'll let you off this time!

  9. Great looking old Chevy! You did a great job on all aspects of it. Love these classics!
