North American FJ-1 Fury 1/72
One of the first operational jet aircraft for the US Navy its service was short. First flight was 1946. They operated with VF-5A,[ VF-51],and then Naval Reserve units. in service until 1954.About thirty aircraft were produced.
The model is a short run by Siga , the markings are of VF-5A which became VF-51, the only active squadron to fly the FJ-1,they flew off USS Boxer CV 21 1948.

I want one! I built Emhar’s FJ-4 (also a rudimentary kit), and I think it needs this sitting next to it to show lineage!
