I know these aren’t exactly accurate, but it was fun to build and play around with markings, colors etc.
019 is the Monogram kit, 014 is the Lindberg one.

Did you paint over the canopies (because the interior was rather sparse) or did they come like that?

That’s what I should’ve done on some of mine – either because the interior was terrible (or… more likely), I messed up the clear part somehow. 🙁
No worries, though. It gives it that “Desktop Model” look.

The Lindberg F-80 is one of the original plastic model kits, with their Fleet sub and the Stearman PT-17. Compared to the Monogram, you can tell its an early bird.
You’ve got a nice comparison of F-80s from the earliest days.
Anyone built the Hobbyboss?
