Consolidated PBY 4 Catalina, A24-29, 3 OTU RAAF Rathmines NSW 1944.

1/72 , my third , I modified a few things, finished in MM and Humbrol enamels with Future and Micro flat over spare decals.

  5. Allan, I almost missed (getting old!) that this one is a -4, with the sliding hatches, not the "bubbles" from the -5 on.
    That is a different scheme, as well.
    Just a unique Catalina all around. Thanks for posting it Just a beaut!

  10. I just went back and looked at all three of your Catalina builds. Very impressive I say.

    The real plane is really quite large, (as are the built up models).

    I remember building a Revell 1/72 "Black Cat" as a child. Now I have two of the 1/48 sized Monogram kits to build someday. Thanks for sharing my friend.
