CHINO AIR SHOW May 5-6 2018 Planes of Fame
If anyone should be in So California on the first weekend of May. Come on down to Chino, California, about an hour east of Los Angeles, in the Inland Empire. WWII B-25's, P-38's B-17's, P-47, Tigercats, Mustangs, the N9MB Flying wing demonstrator. Korean War flight. The A-10 Warthog, P-40's, Mitsubishi A6m Zero. Some images taken from previous visits to the airshow. So I will be there on Saturday 5 May, 2018. Let me know if anyone wish to enjoy the show. Hopefully it won't be a typical So Cal May day not so hazy. Even fun for our ground pounders. Hope to see ya there!
I wish I could be there, lucky bugger...
Hi Marc, will take plenty of pics to show you after the weekend of the show. One of the highlights if a few Hurricane's and Spits show up. A few years ago before she crashed we had the He-111 flying at the show. Incredible sight. Looking forward to it.
Ahhh, you’d love to be there! Damm Transcontinental air fares
The benefit of living nearby such an event. Still not taking advantage every year we can at time take for granted,
We here in Indianapolis do the same during the Indy 500 and the Brickyard 400.
If I lived closer I would definitely show up. But I'm on the other coast and I have two dogs to consider. My German Shepherd doesn't do well at the kennel and she is too big to take on board a plane. She refuses to eat, tore up her dog Matt to shreds, and will not leave the tiny room they normally stay in at night. I'm not into taking really long road trips anymore.
Maybe I'll get the chance in a few years.
Please take a lot of pictures and post them up if you can. I'll be there in spirit.
Thanks Chuck !
I know about the dog issue. Going to work everyday, and then coming home to fury of tail wags and kisses from a happy pup never seems to end. Love it. I can't imagine even a weekend trip away from home and not worrying about the dog. So I understand.
Here I am - parroting. But I understand as well. I love my dog (a 12-13 year old Shih-tzu) but he's definitely a "one-place" and one person dog.
Thanks for the preview, Chuck...I'm quite sure one of our esteemed colleagues will be in attendance with some startling photos as well. Always a treat to see 'em.
Nice! Is that two Allison Mustangs?!
Yes Robert they are, good catch. One is the A-36 Apache and a P-51B/C
I can't make it, Chuck, so I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures. I've got the Zhuhai airshow to look forward to in November, I haven't been to it before so it should be interesting.
Hi George, will try to take plenty of pics. It is always a fun day.
It sounds like a great airshow, Chuck. I'd love to visit, but ...
George, I hope you take plenty of photos, as well! It'll be interesting to see how they do airshows in China!
Thanks Jeff, looking forward to a great day.
Oh wow, I wish I could visit, but I'm affraid it's not possible for me. I'm sure it will be a fantastic show, so looking forward to as many photos you can make to share here with us.
Would love to see a Tigercat up close and in action...
Keep us updated. Thanks Chuck!
Will do Ferry, usually there is a Tigercat maybe even more than one. At least one of them will fly.
Great pic's Chuck, keep 'em coming !
Thanks Allan, there will be more on the day of the show.
